EconoSack
Below Grate Storm Drain Filter
The EconoSack drop-inlet filter is a lightweight, construction-phase stormwater device. Use it to filter fine sediments, construction debris, and other pollutants out of stormwater. This unit is durable and utilizes high-quality woven geotextile. In addition, it has heavy-duty straps to catch and secure all of the construction-related sediment and debris. Because the sack latches to and hangs below the grate, it is unobtrusive.
How to install the EconoSack drop-inlet filter below a catch basin grate.
The installation of the EconoSack is easy. Firstly, remove the grate. Then clean the edges, fit the bag and straps around the grate, and lower it back into the catch basin.
What maintenance is required for the EconoSack below-grate drop inlet filter?
Maintain full functionality and prevent hazardous roadway conditions by closely monitoring the EconoSack. Check local regulations and clean the filter at specified intervals. In addition, check the drop-inlet filter during and after heavy storms to prevent stormwater ponding. It is good practice to check the device daily and perform maintenance when the sack is one-third full. Overfilling the sack can lead to torn straps and release all of the captured materials into the storm drain.
