Paving Grids
Industry-leading asphalt reinforcement and paving grid products that reduce cost and increase pavement durability
Paving Grids are high-modulus fiberglass geogrids that reinforce, extend, and rehabilitate medium to heavy-duty pavements. Featuring a biaxial orientation of high-strength fiberglass strands, install paving grids within asphalt or concrete sections to prevent cracks from migrating to the surface; therefore, significantly slowing the degradation process. By improving durability and performance, professionals rely on paving geosynthetics to reduce the frequency and cost of maintenance.
Ferguson Waterworks is more than your local distributor – we are your supply partner. From job site support to engineering assistance, rely on our local experts for premium service and high-quality solutions that optimize your budget and timeline.
GlasGrid®
The GlasGrid Asphalt Reinforcement System is an advanced geosynthetic paving grid. It is ideal for flexible pavement surfaces. Because its fiberglass stands are coated with an elastomeric polymer they form a durable grid structure. As a result, GlasGrid has exceptional tensile strength and elasticity.
Where is GlasGrid installed?
Install GlasGrid between the leveling and surface courses of an asphalt overlay. As a result, it transforms vertical crack stresses into horizontal forces, effectively preventing cracks from reaching the surface. This advanced, environmentally friendly pavement solution is made from silica. Furthermore, it is easily milled for reuse in recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) projects. In addition, with a pressure-activated adhesive, GlasGrid is one of the fastest interlayer systems to install, covering up to 25,000 square yards in a single day, without the need for specialized equipment or labor.
What are the benefits of GlasGrid®?
When the GlasGrid is sandwiched between the leveling course and the surface course in an asphalt overlay, it becomes the hidden strength in the road, turning vertical crack stresses horizontally to dissipate them effectively. Unlike other interlayer systems, GlasGrid is easily broken up by conventional milling equipment and is reusable in other road projects such as recycled asphalt pavement (RAP). Its main component is silica, a natural substance that is environmentally friendly.
