Is Porous Pave a green building product?
Yes! Porous Pave is a LEED-certified paving product. In fact, it is made from recycled tires. The shredding process removes all steel fragments and produces approximately 1/4″ – 3/8″ rubber “chips”. As a result, thousands of tires are kept out of the landfill. For example, 4500 pounds of scrap tires create 1,000 square feet of 2″ paving material.
