Tensar InterAx® Geogrids
Our highest-performing geogrid offers advanced geosynthetic stabilization
Tensar InterAx Geogrids are the most advanced geosynthetic with multifunctional stabilization, filtration, and separation properties. Consequently, they are ideal for stabilizing soft subgrades, pavements, working platforms, heavily trafficked surfaces, foundations, and more. Due to its geometric construction, it achieves superior confinement of granular fill. Furthermore, the high-strength geogrid combines coextrusion and advanced material science to dramatically improve soil interaction. As a result, customers can expect efficient and durable subgrade stabilization. Tensar InterAx Geogrids also drive superior performance across a broader range and quality of aggregate types and gradations. This gives our customers more flexibility in aggregate choice.
Features and benefits of InterAx Geogrids
These advanced geosynthetic stabilization geogrids are manufactured from a coextruded, composite polymer sheet which is then punched and oriented. As a result, the structure consists of continuous and non-continuous ribs forming three aperture geometries: hexagon, trapezoid, and triangle, along with an unimpeded suspended hexagon.
- Coextruded material combines highly durable confinement with increased roughness to enhance surface friction and encourage aggregate embedment
- Optimized geometry provides high rib, effective aspect ratios, and ensures performance when used with most roadway aggregate gradations
- Reliable subgrade stabilization for bridge foundations, drainage structures, buildings, and crane pads
- Longer lifespan of asphalt, gravel roadways, and parking lots
- Superior subgrade reinforcement for asphalt roadways, gravel roadways, and parking lots with faster construction
- Certified Environmental Product Declaration according to ISO 14025, ISO 14044, and EN 15804+A2

What are InterAx Geogrids?
Tensar NX-Series Geogrids combine coextrusion and advanced material science with optimized geometry to dramatically improve both soil interaction and trafficking performance. Twelve global teams and over 10,000 hours of research have led to the development of Tensar’s InterAx geogrid, our highest-performing geogrid to date.
What are the benefits of InterAx Geogrids?
The Tensar InterAx Geogrids drive superior performance across a broader range and quality of aggregate types and gradations. As a result, engineers benefit from flexibility in aggregate selection. In addition, optimized geometry gives maximum confinement of granular fill, creating the most efficient stabilized layer. Furthermore, advanced material science improves compaction and restricts movement over time. Therefore, it retains long-term stiffness and further enhances performance.
What are H-Series Geogrids?
Tensar H-Series Geogrids are ideal for professionals seeking an economical solution for stabilizing soft subgrades, constructing access roads, and improving pavement performance. They provide a resilient solution for building higher-performing trafficked surfaces that withstand severe weather and challenging environmental conditions. The optimized geometry of the Tensar H-Series enhances the interlock of fill materials to create an efficient stabilized layer. Furthermore, this geogrid solution is proven to reduce initial and lifecycle costs, decrease construction time, and gain project sustainability benefits. As a result, the Tensar H-Series Geogrid offers a more cost-effective solution without sacrificing performance and durability.
What are the benefits of H-Series Geogrids?
Tensar H-series Geogrids offer a range of benefits for engineers and contractors. With optimized geometry akin to the advanced InterAx Geogrid, Tensar H-series Geogrids provide reliable performance at a lower cost. What sets Tensar H-series geogrids apart is their broader range of aperture shapes and sizes. This allows for better compatibility between the geogrid and multiple fill materials. As a result, it improves particle confinement under compaction and repetitive loading to create a more effective stabilizing layer. Furthermore, because less fill material is required, it reduces project costs and construction time. The cost-effectiveness of Tensar H-series Geogrids is a significant advantage for projects with budget constraints or those looking to maximize cost savings.
